Give Peach a Chance

Have you ever been criticized, judged unfairly? I have. (Currently.) I’m guessing we all have. I believe that if everyone likes us, we’re not being real.

If you struggle with having others’ approval like I do, check out this podcast: https://thelifecoachschool.com/15/  If you don’t feel like you have time to watch a half an hour long podcast right now, download it and save it for a day you have 30 minutes to  just chill, maybe listen as you sit outside under a fruit tree.

Peaches are one of my favorites of God’s candy. We have a GREAT hybrid peach tree in our yard that yields tons of three different kinds of delicious peaches. I can’t imagine the person who doesn’t like a juicy peach, but undoubtedly there are those weird people.

Slight digression: Curious—Are stewed peaches the same thing as peach stew? I don’t know.  But John and I have gone on some big trips in late May/early June when our tree GOES OFF and by the time we’ve gotten home, we’ve had peach stew all over our patio pavers and on our lawn. What a waste. Combination of ripe falling peaches and hot sun. It’s a sweet mess. Many of them have bite marks and are half-eaten. Mostly by birds, I’m guessing, but one time I saw a possum enjoying one. He returned several times and I named him Perry the Possum. Perry would be chillaxen in the sun, just mackin’ down. I didn’t shoo him off, dude was experiencing peaches and dreams. I’m no buzz-kill.

I recently discovered Brooke Castillo’s Life Coach podcasts and in this one where she’s talking about people not liking you, she quotes Dita Von Teese:

“You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world,

and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.”

Give this wisdom a chance, I’m guessing if you do it will provide some sweet peace.
